The jacket commemorates the 50th anniversary of women being allowed to run the Boston Marathon as well as Kathrine Switzer, the founder of the charity I am fundraising for and the first women who dared to run the Boston Marathon before women were permitted. Let's celebrate some love for women this week! On Tuesday, March 8 (this past week) we celebrated International Women's Day, AND this year the Boston Marathon marks the 50th anniversary of women being officially allowed to run the Boston Marathon!Ĭheck out our official Boston Marathon jacket this year. Here are a couple videos she put together about the impact of the program on her team members. With her team in Bicester, Ruggles ran a program called "Activate You," a 12 week training program to build strength and endurance and a love for exercise. She has been able to see first hand how the money we raise empowers women across the globe! She meets with two groups of women each week that she says are "so grateful for a space to switch off and feel empowered." Lisa Ruggles is one of the members of our 261 Fearless charity team this year, but she has also has been a member of 261 Fearless since 2017 and is a coach for the 261 Inc team in her hometown in Bicester, England. we are three weeks away from the Boston Marathon!!!!!!
